Dr. Jeremy Roark has been providing mental health counseling since 2000. He started East and West Holistic Counseling in 2012 when he relocated to Goleta and continued his private practice. He strives to provide the best services possible for each client's situation and according to what works best for each individual, couple, family or group member served. Why East and West? Dr. Jeremy Roark lived for four years in Taiwan and has specialized in working with International, Immigrant, and Asian-American populations. He has knowledge of Eastern philosophies of mental health and knowledge of a variety of influences of diverse cultural experiences. He incorporates this knowledge into his holistic approach to mental health.

Jeremy Roark, Ph.D.
I am a California Licensed Psychologist. I have a master’s degree in counseling from Michigan State University and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Washington State University. I interned in downtown Chicago at the Adler School of Professional Psychology, completed a post-doctoral residency at Kaiser Permanente’s Department of Psychiatry in Campbell, California, and I am now working in Goleta, California. I have had special training in Hypnosis and Adlerian Psychology work with a large variety of unique individuals. I am a current member of the American Psychological Association and the Society for Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis. I am a past member of the North American Society for Adlerian Psychology and Santa Barbara Psychological Association. I have experience working with many unique individuals and many different types of issues. My special interests include cultural adjustment, relationship issues, codependency, parenting and family issues, personality disorders, ADHD, and concerns often associated with giftedness, including anxiety, underachievement, perfectionism and procrastination.
